Everything we do at Threefold Studio is fun, but the work showcased in this section is a testament to our community leadership, competitive nature, and desire to do things simply because we want to. Here you’ll find leisurely created drawings, pro bono work, competition entries, and quirky ideas made real.

She shared with us her inspirations, and fewer than two weeks after the drawing, we came back to her with her new profile. She was unable to use it right away since she had given up Twitter for lent, but now she's back in action. Congratulations Lala, and use it in good health!

Leadership Learning Center Website Design
Leadership Learning Center is an afterschool program dedicated to promoting education for underprivileged children in the Miami area. They were in need of a dynamic website that would provide a resource for current and future students, parents and contributors. We provided a bright and fun design that is relatable to the students, but also provides abundant information for patrons wishing to contribute to the LLC’s cause. The site design creates a community for all those connected to the Leadership Learning Center and opens up their capabilities for future growth. The LLC is still looking for someone to build out the dynamic site. If you are interested in donating your services please contact us.

Florida Grand Opera Website
As one of Florida’s oldest performing arts organizations, Florida Grand Opera (FGO) is looking to increase revenue through online ticket sales and contributions. In addition, they would like to provide a way for FGO to reach a broader audience. A redesign of aesthetics and newer content will modernize the FGO website, and capture a younger market. FGO has not yet implemented the designs, but we look forward to the improvements.

Educate Tomorrow Branding Package
Educate Tomorrow is an organization focused on providing educational opportunities to disadvantaged youth. We lead a team of students to create a new identity and stationery package for their new Preparatory Academy - their first-ever established learning facility dedicated to helping foster kids pursue a college education. The logo created for the school was based on the existing Educate Tomorrow brand, and conveys a sense of freedom and accomplishment.

University of Miami Homecoming 2009 Posters
As UM alumni, we give back to our alma mater whenever possible. We were invited to help students and alumni gear up for homecoming 2009, where the theme was “iconic music”. Most of the designs created for the event were influenced by the legendary works of other said artists. Non of the homecoming designs were produced for profit by Ourselves or the University of Miami.

University of Miami Homecoming 2009 HHTH Tee
Can you decipher the groovy text in this hip 1960’s inspired design? “Hurricanes Help the Hometown” is a UM tradition where hundreds of students perform community service for a day. The verbiage conforms to the shape of a flower-power VW bus and creates the profile of Sebastian Ibis’s head inside. This single-tone screen print came well within our client’s budget for the event.

Painting a Better Tomorrow Tee
Architecture for Humanity Miami was founded on the mission to bring design, construction and development services to communities through a global network of building professionals. We wanted our design to reflect this collaboration of talented artists, so we had our own designers come together and create a work through a combination of watercolor and computer art. Unfortunately, our design was not chosen, but we believed in it so we entered the design into a tee contest on teextile.com. The company receives hundreds of applicants a day and prints shirts based on popularity. We are happy to say that our shirt has been printed! We sold 26 shirts in the first week.

Emerging Green Builders Tee
The Miami EGB also needed a design that would be trendy while conveying the message of “sustainability” for their t-shirts. Using the phrase “Sustain Yourself” in a detailed typography with floral accents coming off of a structured font, we were able to create a design that blended these different goals in a harmonious fashion, literally. Needless to say, they had the hippest t-shirts at the 2009 National GreenBuild Convention.

Emerging Green Builders Brand Identity
The Emerging Green Builders of Miami needed a logo that would be trendy while establishing their brand as cutting-edge. We created a minimalist design of three buildings with different shades of green to emphasize their name as well as their philosophy.

Anthony Robbins Website
Tony Robbins is an inspirational speaker looking for a refresh of his website. He was quite popular in the 90’s but needed to reboot his online presence in order to capture a new audience. The website was designed with a “web 2.0” look. Ultimately, we did not win the bid but the design came out great.

Volkswagen Up! Website
This concept is for the Volkswagen “Up!”, an electric vehicle being released in 2011. The idea is that the Up! was designed by the gods, but was given to the humans. Its battery cell makes it almost God-like, making it incredibly fuel-efficient and able to travel the equivalent of over 80 miles per gallon. The site takes the user to VW headquarters in Mount Olympus. There, you can create your own Up!, and take it for a ride on the “cloud highway.”

As a historical landmark in the city of Coral Gables, Fifteenth Street Books is looking to refresh it’s brand as they transition into a bookstore that specializes in rare collections. Project Sudan Tee
Project Sudan is a non-profit organization formed by students at the University of Miami. Their goal is to raise enough funds so that they may travel to Sudan and help with medical needs as well as provide education for the people living there. We were deeply moved by their altruism, so we decided to contribute to their efforts by creating the designs for their fundraising tee. So far they have managed to sell over 800 shirts for $10 each! We wish them luck with their efforts

NASA OSS Website
This is a concept for NASA to drive traffic and interest into the space program. We designed a microsite that would focus on the space exploration program. The site would be called “OSS” that would stand for “One Small Step.” The site would target 10 to 25 year olds who wanted to know more about the program. The site is meant to be completely interactive with games and missions throughout the site.

Advertise Tee
Adgroup is the college chapter of the American Advertising Federation at the University of Miami. The group is designed to bring students into the advertising industry. They needed a hip looking design that promoted the club, so what better way than to have giant letters that said, “ADVERTISE?”

Stanley Key Masterplan
Lately, Miami has been worried about being underwater in 50 or so years. Stanley Key is not a real island in Florida… yet. The masterplan project looks closely at an area south of Downtown Miami to learn how sea level rise will affect the topography and lifestyles of the people who live there. Many adaptation and mitigation strategies were considered, and these drawings, loosely based on the Urban Transect Theory, were a product of that study. These drawings have been used by Miami-Dade's Climate Change Action Task Force (CCATF) as part of their case for adaptation and mitigation strategies over the next decade.

City of Parkland Cartograms
If you’ve ever been to Disney World and used one of their hand-held maps to get around the park, then you’re familiar with cartograms. These drawings are distorted representations of the City of Parkland, Florida- a horse town built in the Everglades in the 1960’s where herons and horses now coexist. Separately, they indicate the character of the town’s suburban and environmental qualities.
